Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure efficient, high-quality care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and ensure operatory readiness
• Manage patient intake and update records with accuracy and compassion
• Take and process digital radiographs as directed and maintain imaging records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care in clear, friendly terms
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team
• Coordinate supplies and inventory so the clinic runs smoothly every day

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license — required
• California RDA credential preferred or required per facility rules
• Previous dental assisting experience is a plus but enthusiastic new RDAs are welcome
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility security/clearance

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Active RDA certification/license (California)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with dental instruments, sterilization, and operatory setup
• Comfort with digital x-ray systems and basic dental software
• Strong patient communication and chairside manner
• Attention to detail for accurate charting and infection control
• Team-player attitude and ability to work in a structured clinical setting
