Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care and ventilator management to adult and/or pediatric patients as assigned
- Perform respiratory assessments, administer therapies, and monitor patient response to interventions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
- Respond to respiratory and airway emergencies with skill and composure
- Document treatments, ventilator changes, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, home care, and equipment use
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Respiratory Therapist license or eligible to obtain state licensure
- Credentialed as RRT or CRT preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with ventilators, airway management, and emergency response
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
- Previous acute care or inpatient respiratory therapy experience preferred
Education
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and settings optimization
- Arterial blood gas interpretation and respiratory assessment
- Airway management, suctioning, and oxygen therapy
- Familiarity with infection control practices and documentation standards
- Ability to prioritize in fast-paced clinical situations and respond to codes
