Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals and track progress
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions across diagnoses to improve communication and swallowing safety
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and family members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document timely, clear, and compliant progress notes and discharge summaries
• Provide caregiver and staff education to support carryover of therapy strategies

Qualifications

• Current California Speech-Language Pathology license is required
• ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred and will be considered a strong plus
• Minimum clinical experience with evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
• Experience in a rehab, skilled nursing, or acute care setting preferred
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia assessment and intervention
• Knowledge of AAC strategies and compensatory communication techniques
• Strong clinical documentation and goal-writing skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary rehab team
• Comfort with evidence-based practice and outcome measurement
