Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safety-focused psychiatric support to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Observe and document patient behavior, responses, and changes accurately and timely
- Assist the clinical team with therapeutic activities and interventions that promote stability
- Collaborate with nurses and mental health clinicians to implement care plans
- Use de-escalation techniques and safety protocols to manage challenging situations
- Participate in required orientation and daily confirmations to ensure smooth shift coverage
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) — active and in good standing (required)
- Available for per diem coverage Saturday through Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- Comfortable working in a correctional healthcare environment and following facility protocols
- Willingness to confirm or cancel shifts daily per staffing process
- Ability to attend required orientation prior to assignment start
Education
