Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using evidence-based speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that support meaningful functional outcomes
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress
• Document clear, timely notes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and discharge planning
• Participate in coverage and float responsibilities as needed to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Active SLP license in Maryland or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or strong clinical experience in pediatric/adult rehab settings
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and ability to work autonomously

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in dysphagia evaluation and treatment as well as cognitive-communication therapy
• Comfortable with interdisciplinary collaboration and care planning
• Experience with documentation in electronic medical records
• Proficiency in assessment tools, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive communication strategies
• Ability to manage caseloads while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care
