Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled evaluations and individualized physical therapy treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on care including gait training, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy
- Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes with the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and caregivers to support safe discharges and care transitions
- Educate patients and families to maximize functional recovery and independence
- Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practice
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Washington or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Clinical experience in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation preferred
- Valid professional liability insurance as required by facility or agency
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills for adult rehab
- Proficiency in gait training, balance retraining, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques
- Clear, timely documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to teach and motivate patients and caregivers toward functional goals
