Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and deliver high-quality nursing care in a rehab/acute setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Support a safe, respectful environment and mentor peers when appropriate

Qualifications

• Current RN license (Registered Nurse) — New Mexico licensure or compact license preferred
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Current vaccination and health screenings per facility policy
• Prior experience in inpatient, rehab, or similar nursing setting preferred
• Professional, compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with rehab nursing principles and patient mobility/safety
• Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Effective teamwork, time management, and patient education skills
