Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on the night shift, consistently applying nursing judgment and standards
• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and communicate changes to the care team in a timely way
• Perform PICC line care and maintenance according to facility protocols and infection control standards
• Administer medications and treatments safely while documenting accurately and completely
• Work within the facility security guidelines, maintaining patient safety and adhering to restricted-device policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support continuity of care in a correctional environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (must be in good standing)
• Demonstrated PICC competency or certification and hands-on experience with PICC line care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable and professional working in a secure/correctional facility with restricted personal devices
• Ability to pass required facility background checks and comply with site-specific security rules
• Strong clinical documentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in venous access care, PICC line maintenance, and related infection prevention
• Solid patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills during the night shift
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with correctional healthcare environment expectations and protocols
• Teamwork and clear communication with security and healthcare staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy, secure setting
