Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe patient care during overnight shifts, monitoring conditions and responding promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care thoroughly
• Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in patient status to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans and support smooth transitions
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and follow facility policies
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license; must be eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Valid BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS/PALS as applicable is a plus
• Prior acute care or rehab experience preferred, particularly in medical-surgical or rehab settings
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient safety skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and collaborate effectively with a travel team

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and documentation
• Proficient with medication administration and safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and point-of-care documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with RN/LPN staff
• Time management and prioritization to manage overnight patient loads
