Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care during 12.5-hour night shifts to patients in the Uptown/rehab area
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to catch changes early
• Administer medications accurately and document treatments with clarity
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow patient care plans
• Support patient mobility, wound care, and rehab activities to promote recovery
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain clean, safe infection-control practices and accurate electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license to practice in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain one quickly)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour night shifts with strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a care team
• Previous med-surg, rehab, or similar experience preferred but willing to consider strong new grads with great clinical training

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and critical thinking to identify changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic medical record charting
• Basic wound care and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night-shift environment
