Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and change-in-condition events
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (able to practice in New Mexico) — we welcome either credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• IV certification preferred (depending on unit needs)
• Previous acute care experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills considered
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (for LPN)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma; BSN acceptable/preferred for RN roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices
