Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility to promote dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Document resident care and observations clearly in the chart to support continuity of care
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and facility staff to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents and visitors
• Respond to resident needs quickly and professionally to enhance comfort and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Minimum basic hands-on CNA experience preferred; new grads from approved programs welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members
• Able to perform physical aspects of the role, including assisting with transfers and mobility

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of personal care and activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe handling of linens and equipment
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols and facility policies
• Teamwork, time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
