Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to patients in the rehabilitation area
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery goals
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Support safe transfers, mobility programs, and rehabilitation activities
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies and urgent needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN or LPN) — must be valid for practice in New Mexico or eligible to obtain
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Previous acute care or rehabilitation experience is preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ADN, or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Good documentation habits and charting accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
