Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care during overnight hours, monitoring and documenting changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and handoffs
• Perform assessments, record vitals, and respond to emergent needs with calm, evidence-based action
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate updates to day teams
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear explanations

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico or via compact/reciprocity as applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Prior experience in acute care, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently overnight
• Vaccinations and health screening per facility policy (as required for onboarding)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or Nursing program (RN); diploma or associate degree as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with medication administration and IV/central line protocols as appropriate to license
• Skilled at clinical assessments, charting, and prioritizing patient care
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate appropriately
• Team-oriented mindset with good time management and patient advocacy
