Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Days vary, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift (overnight 12.5-hour block)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care during overnight hours, monitoring and documenting changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and handoffs
- Perform assessments, record vitals, and respond to emergent needs with calm, evidence-based action
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate updates to day teams
- Support patient and family education with empathy and clear explanations
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico or via compact/reciprocity as applicable)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Prior experience in acute care, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently overnight
- Vaccinations and health screening per facility policy (as required for onboarding)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or Nursing program (RN); diploma or associate degree as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with medication administration and IV/central line protocols as appropriate to license
- Skilled at clinical assessments, charting, and prioritizing patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate appropriately
- Team-oriented mindset with good time management and patient advocacy
