Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition, escalating concerns as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility EMR and ensure accurate handoffs
• Support patient and family education, addressing questions with empathy and clarity
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety policies, and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in New Mexico or compact RN license as applicable
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates may be considered per job class; possess appropriate state license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working 12+ hour overnight shifts and managing acuity during night hours
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and effective communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; Practical Nursing diploma for LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond effectively during emergencies
• Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
