Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Document resident care accurately and timely in charts and care plans
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to ensure comfort and understanding
• Support a clean, safe caregiving environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care that matters

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or equivalent) required
• Ability to obtain or hold CNA credential in Pennsylvania as required by facility
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Background check and health screening (immunizations/TB) required prior to start
• Comfort working night shifts and collaborating within a fast-paced care team
• Reliable, caring, and able to lift/assist residents as needed

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on resident care skills and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of vital signs, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to follow care plans and document clearly
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during busy shifts
