Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document resident care clearly and timely in the charting system
• Participate in a collaborative team approach to meet individualized care goals
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-required) in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care; prior long-term care experience a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required health screenings
• Friendly, patient-focused attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
• Measuring and documenting vital signs and fluid intake/output
• Basic wound care observation and reporting changes
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
