Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with daily living activities to promote patient comfort and dignity
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning following facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control standards
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by being attentive and respectful
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification — Certified Nursing Assistant required
- Active or transferable CNA authorization to practice in Pennsylvania preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with direct patient care and working as part of a fast-paced team
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and reliable work history
- Prior experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of patient bathing, feeding, toileting, and basic mobility assistance
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Basic documentation skills in electronic or paper charting systems
