Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing and toileting
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident chart
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active/state-appropriate certification or ability to obtain PA reciprocity if needed
• Basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Minimum experience: facility or long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and team members
• Ability to observe, chart and escalate changes in resident condition
• Knowledge of infection control and safe resident handling techniques
• Team-oriented attitude and strong time-management skills
