Key Responsibilities

• Prescription order entry: receives prescriptions from patients, clarifies information, ensures regulatory requirements are met, prioritizes prescriptions, and accurately enters information into the pharmacy computer system
• Drug dispensing: accurately selects and dispenses the correct drug and quantity, demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy regulations and policies, and properly documents dispensing activities
• Inventory management: orders necessary drug quantities, identifies excess stock, checks inventory expiration dates, and properly stores drugs
• Clerical duties: performs assigned clerical responsibilities, answers phone calls, greets customers, and accurately conducts transactions

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification from the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for Colorado
• Retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy technician experience
• Regulatory compliance knowledge
