Roles & Responsibilities

• Process, inspect, assemble, and sterilize orthopedic and robotic surgical instruments with precision
• Follow hospital and regulatory sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate sterile processing documentation and instrument tracking
• Collaborate with perioperative and nursing teams to prioritize case needs and turnaround times
• Troubleshoot and escalate instrument or sterilization concerns promptly
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to Level I/II trauma center performance expectations

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in sterile processing, with strong orthopedic instrument processing skills
• Experience with robotic instrument processing
• Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
• Comfort working overnight 10- to 12-hour shifts and adapting to varying schedules
• Able to meet traveler performance expectations and maintain professional conduct during assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of sterile processing workflows and instrument handling
• Skill with orthopedic instrument sets and robotic instrument care
• Familiarity with sterilization equipment and instrument tracking processes
• Attention to detail for inspection, assembly, and documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with surgical and perioperative teams
• Comfort working in high-acuity, trauma-informed environments
