Roles & Responsibilities
- Process, inspect, assemble, and sterilize orthopedic and robotic surgical instruments with precision
- Follow hospital and regulatory sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate sterile processing documentation and instrument tracking
- Collaborate with perioperative and nursing teams to prioritize case needs and turnaround times
- Troubleshoot and escalate instrument or sterilization concerns promptly
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to Level I/II trauma center performance expectations
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in sterile processing, with strong orthopedic instrument processing skills
- Experience with robotic instrument processing
- Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
- Comfort working overnight 10- to 12-hour shifts and adapting to varying schedules
- Able to meet traveler performance expectations and maintain professional conduct during assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of sterile processing workflows and instrument handling
- Skill with orthopedic instrument sets and robotic instrument care
- Familiarity with sterilization equipment and instrument tracking processes
- Attention to detail for inspection, assembly, and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with surgical and perioperative teams
- Comfort working in high-acuity, trauma-informed environments
