Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
Provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to residents and their families
Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Maine preferred or eligibility to obtain
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Reliable, compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
Skill in taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
Strong communication, teamwork, and resident-centered care approach
