Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams in accordance with standards and facility policies
- Operate mammography equipment safely and ensure image quality for accurate diagnosis
- Assist with stereotactic and needle localization procedures when needed
- Collaborate with breast surgeons and clinical team to support patient care and workflow
- Provide compassionate patient care, including positioning, education, and privacy
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to quality assurance and infection control practices
- Follow facility protocols for vaccination and safety requirements
Qualifications
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required
- Minimum 2 years current mammography experience required
- BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) prior to start
- Experience with stereotactic localization and needle localization preferred
- DEXA experience is a plus
- Available to work Tuesday–Friday on the assigned 10-hour day shift schedule
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong mammography technique and positioning skills
- Familiarity with stereotactic and needle localization procedures
- DEXA scanning knowledge (preferred)
- Commitment to image quality, radiation safety, and patient-centered care
- Clear communication skills for interacting with patients and the breast care team
