Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts, 7 on / 7 off block schedule, Day shift 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (weekend coverage required); also operates on 3x10 and 4x10 day patterns as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized plans of care that drive recovery
- Deliver hands-on and evidence-based gait training, mobility and transfer programs
- Safely perform lifts and transfers using Hoyer and sit-to-stand equipment
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient responses during treatment
- Complete clear, timely documentation in Epic — evaluations, progress notes, POCs and discharge summaries
- Conduct wheelchair assessments and recommend appropriate mobility equipment
- Coordinate discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth transitions
- Manage a caseload (typical 10–12 patients/day) while prioritizing safety and outcomes
Qualifications
- Active WA state Physical Therapy license (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; other certifications a plus
- Minimum 1 year of acute care Physical Therapy experience
- IPR (Inpatient Rehabilitation) experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable learning and charting in Epic (preferred)
- Strong time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Able to safely perform patient lifts/transfers and use common assistive devices
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and developing effective Plans of Care
- Gait training, prosthetic training fundamentals and mobility interventions
- Familiarity with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary and geriatric patient populations
- Experience in ICU/Medical-Surgical, ER and inpatient rehab settings is valuable
- Skilled with assistive devices: walkers, rolling walkers, crutches, gait belts and wheelchairs
- Proficient in documentation practices: evaluations, reassessments, goals and discharge planning
- Vital sign monitoring, strength testing, AROM/PROM and pain assessment
- Strong patient and family education skills and ability to create home exercise programs
