Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise approximately 45 FTE across Plant Operations, Maintenance, Environmental Services and Grounds
• Develop and enforce job-specific customer service expectations and training plans for your teams
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure continuous operation of heat, steam, power, gas and medical gas systems
• Inspect equipment and systems to detect, diagnose and repair malfunctions in line with manufacturer recommendations and best practices
• Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with hospital policies and all applicable regulatory agencies
• Act as a collaborative liaison with other departments to assess facility needs and develop action plans that support patient care
• Maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and applicable local building and fire codes
• Respond to customer and employee concerns professionally and follow up to resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Thorough working knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance
• Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes and construction phasing
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to troubleshoot and repair facility systems
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (candidate MUST be willing to relocate)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Facilities management and plant operations leadership
• Preventative maintenance planning and execution
• HVAC, boiler systems, electrical and plumbing systems expertise
• Regulatory compliance (NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS) and local code familiarity
• Environmental Services operations and grounds maintenance oversight
• Contractor/vendor management and compliance
• Personnel management, training development and stakeholder liaison
