Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Day shift (12-hour day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a telemetry unit
Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly escalate changes
Perform thorough assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
Document patient status and interventions in the electronic charting system
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) credential — Telemetry specialty
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience preferred)
Valid RN licensure applicable for practice (Texas licensure or compact as required)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtained quickly after start

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
Accurate and timely electronic documentation
