Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic exams in OR, ED, inpatient and portable settings
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment from GE, Philips and CareStream
• Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate, diagnostic studies
• Provide rapid, trauma-focused imaging support following level 1/2 trauma protocols
• Float between assigned departments as needed to support patient care
• Precept students from Grady, conduct competency check-offs, and mentor new learners
• Maintain infection control standards including mask fit and PPE compliance
• Document imaging and care appropriately in EMR systems (EPIC and Sectra)

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT approved program
• Minimum 1 year level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large-bed trauma level 2 facility
• Comfortable working in OR, ED, inpatient and performing portable radiography
• Willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging techniques
• Ability to float between departments and work weekend coverage
• Mask fit requirement must be met prior to assignment

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and fluoroscopy techniques
• Trauma imaging protocols and rapid image acquisition
• Portable radiography in ED and inpatient settings
• Image evaluation for technical quality
• Operation of GE, Philips and CareStream imaging systems
• Experience with EPIC and Sectra EMR/radiology systems
• Student precepting and competency assessment
• Basic pediatric and neonatal imaging knowledge (willing to learn)
