Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system and publish monthly service line and physician practice Profit & Loss statements that drive strategic decisions.
• Oversee the Decision Support team and mentor staff, including the supervisor of decision support and special projects analyst.
• Lead STRATA-based financial modeling: develop feasibility, cost and reimbursement templates and compute ROI, NPV, IRR and payback analyses for capital projects.
• Coordinate routine leadership reviews to analyze service line profitability and develop performance improvement plans for areas with unfavorable variances.
• Prepare and compile financial data and reports for audits, insurance renewals, FEMA/Single Audits, GME reporting and external agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA).
• Manage requests for ad hoc reporting, support annual financial audits and cost report filings, and ensure data accuracy for operational decisions.
• Provide oversight and assistance for software implementations, including ERP and leasing systems, and support STRATA rolling forecast module implementation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support; healthcare experience required.
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or similar decision support/financial systems.
• Proven experience producing P&L reporting, service line profitability analysis, forecasting and feasibility studies.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills with prior supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or MHA) and financial or healthcare certifications; experience with hospital contracting, physician reimbursement and bundled payments is a plus.
