Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy safely and accurately, following ONS/ONCC guidelines
• Assess and monitor infusion patients before, during, and after treatments to keep them safe and comfortable
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side-effect management, and home care
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient education clearly and timely (EPIC experience preferred)
• Triage symptoms and respond to infusion reactions or urgent patient needs with calm and clinical judgment
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve oncology clinic outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active licensure required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required
• Oncology Certified Nurse (preferred)
• EPIC experience preferred for accurate documentation and workflow
• At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology nursing principles and infusion/chemotherapy administration
• Familiarity with ONS/ONCC standards and safe chemo handling
• Infusion clinic workflow and patient monitoring
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
• IV access and management, emergency response for infusion reactions
• Patient education, triage, and symptom management
