Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and hands-on physical therapy to inpatients, helping them regain independence
• Develop, implement and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with the care team
• Fit and educate patients on rehabilitation equipment including splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs and ADL aids
• Apply therapeutic modalities and evidence-based interventions to optimize patient outcomes
• Document progress, maintain accurate clinical records in Meditech Expanse, and communicate with multidisciplinary team members
• Participate in orientation and support a culture of patient safety and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) — required
• Massachusetts Physical Therapy license — must be active and uploaded
• Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience, including inpatient experience
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Traveler candidates must have their own vehicle and include permanent address and any RTO details on their profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Direct patient care and plan of care development
• Experience with splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs and ADL equipment
• Skilled in therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques
• Comfortable with inpatient workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Proficient documentation skills and experience with Meditech Expanse
• Strong communication, problem-solving and patient education abilities
