Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality orthopedic and OR radiographic exams with attention to image clarity and patient safety
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and the OR team to support smooth procedures
- Position patients expertly for a variety of ortho imaging needs and ensure proper radiation safety practices
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment and supplies for efficient, on-time cases
- Document imaging, ensure accurate labeling and image routing, and maintain clear communication in the chart
- Provide compassionate patient care—explain procedures, comfort anxious patients, and uphold dignity
- Support team workflow and, when needed, assist with mentoring or supervisory tasks to keep the department running well
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technologist license required
- Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Minimum of 3 years of radiologic technologist experience required
- Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred
Education
- Bachelor of Science preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthopedic imaging and OR radiography expertise
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and image quality standards
- Patient positioning for orthopedic exams and intraoperative imaging support
- Clear communication skills for fast-paced OR teamwork
- Solid documentation skills and comfort working with electronic medical records
- Ability to maintain sterile technique awareness and support surgical workflows
