Shift Type: Days vary (per facility schedule), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Day shift (12.5-hour)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans
- Administer medications and document accurately and timely
- Assess and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Perform wound care and other delegated clinical procedures with competence
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate residents and families on care plans and self-care where appropriate
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in the medical record and support continuity of care
- Contribute to a safe, compassionate environment that respects resident dignity
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — Maine licensure required or compact/transferable per state rules
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy) a plus
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to follow care plans, manage time, and prioritize patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent LPN diploma/certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic nursing principles and practical nursing procedures
- Comfort with medication administration and accurate charting
- Skilled in resident assessment and recognizing changes in condition
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety procedures
- Able to use electronic health records and document thoroughly
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
