Shift Type: 40-hour work week (specific start/end times not provided). Call when appropriate. Floating to other departments as needed. Schedule is unit-driven and may include weekdays and occasional weekend/on-call coverage.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive adult echocardiography studies including 2D, Doppler (CW & PW), color flow mapping, and valvular disease evaluations with accuracy and compassion
- Deliver 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) support when required, collaborating closely with cardiology teams
- Document findings clearly and timely in Epic EMR to support clinical decision-making
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (Canon i700/i900) to ensure dependable imaging quality
- Provide patient-centered care — explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, and adapt for pediatric cases when applicable
- Respond to on-call requests and float to other departments as needed to support patient care
- Assist in quality assurance activities and maintain competency through ongoing learning and certifications
Qualifications
- RDCS certification required (ARDMS or CCI accepted as equivalent)
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years experience in an acute hospital setting
- Proven competency in adult echocardiography: 2D, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping, valvular disease studies, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease and effusions
- Experience with 2D & 3D TEEs
- Familiarity with Epic EMR (documentation and workflow)
- Comfortable operating Canon i700 and i900 ultrasound systems
- Willingness to float to other departments and participate in on-call rotations
Education
- No specific degree listed; required certification: RDCS (ARDMS or CCI accepted). AHA BLS required.

- Valvular disease assessment and color flow mapping

- Operation and troubleshooting of Canon i700 and i900 systems
- Acute hospital protocols and interdisciplinary collaboration
