Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to your patients with confidence
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments and document accurately in the medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge plans
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Champion patient safety and quality improvement initiatives on your unit

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in Maine or compact RN license as applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where relevant
Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a fast-paced unit

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Sound knowledge of nursing fundamentals and acute care practices
Proficient documentation and clinical charting in electronic health records
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Patient assessment, triage and prioritization abilities
Infection control, safety protocols and evidence-based practice familiarity
Comfort working in interdisciplinary teams and mentoring newer staff
