Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement the nursing process to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and follow strict sterile technique during procedures
• Monitor patients continuously with cardiac monitoring and manage IV/infusion therapy including PCA pumps
• Act as a patient advocate — educate patients and families and ensure their comfort and safety
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate peri-procedural care
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel and assist with unit workflow
• Document patient care, procedure details, and post-procedure assessments accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Oregon (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• IV certification preferred; conscious sedation and monitor-role experience desired
• Certifications such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale are a plus
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Nursing process and strong patient assessment abilities
• Peri-procedural care and sterile technique
• IV therapy, infusion pumps, and PCA pump management
• Cardiac monitoring and patient monitoring during invasive procedures
• Familiarity with angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization workflows
• Patient advocacy, cultural competence, and age-specific care
