Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Set daytime schedule, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Days); on-call 1-2 nights per week, 1 weekend per month, rotating holidays; 30-minute call response time. Day shift with on-call and rotating coverage.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the MD in cardiac catheterization procedures by scrubbing and providing critical procedural support
- Perform left heart catheterizations, stent placements, ICD and pacemaker procedures with attention to safety
- Monitor and document patient status and procedure details in the EMR accurately and promptly
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment including Siemens cath systems, Sensis, Apollo and Phillips IVUS
- Respond to on-call activations within the 30-minute response window to support emergent cases
- Float between Lakeside, Immanuel and other campuses as needed to ensure consistent patient care
- Follow facility policies including fingernail and uniform standards to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Participate in orientation and unit education to maintain competency and team readiness
Qualifications
- ARRT or RCIS registration required
- BLS (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience performing left heart caths and scrub assist duties
- Experience with stent placement, ICD and pacemaker cases
- Valid driver license at time of submittal to meet the 50-mile radius requirement
- Ability to meet on-call obligations, including 30-minute response time
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required
- Comfort charting in EPIC and using cath lab imaging equipment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- BLS (AHA) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cath lab procedural knowledge including cardiac catheterization workflows
- Proficiency in scrub-to-assist techniques and sterile field maintenance
- Skilled in monitoring and documentation during invasive cardiac procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC for charting and patient documentation
- Hands-on experience with Siemens cath systems, Siemens Sensis, Apollo and Phillips IVUS
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and supervisors
- Good clinical judgment under emergent and routine procedural conditions
- Adaptability to float between campuses and handle varied case volumes
