Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, holistic Med-Surg nursing care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver patient and family education to support recovery and promote health
• Document nursing care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatments and transitions
• Respond to patient needs and changes in condition with sound clinical judgment
• Adhere to Montana state and national Nurse Practice Act standards and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license (required)
• Graduate nurse from an accredited nursing college (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience or strong interest in Medical-Surgical nursing; able to manage adult med-surg patient populations
• Comfort with occasional pediatric patients and the ability to adapt care accordingly
• Team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and reliable documentation practices

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med-Surg nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Patient education and family-centered care approaches
• Accurate nursing documentation and charting
• Care coordination skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with basic life support and advanced cardiac life support protocols
• Infection control practices and safe medication administration
