Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment to support diagnostic and interventional procedures with precision
- Maintain strict radiation safety practices to protect patients and the clinical team
- Scrub and assist during interventional cases, ensuring sterile field maintenance throughout
- Coordinate procedural workflow to keep cases efficient and patient-centered
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care and pre/post-procedure support
- Exercise sound professional judgment and adhere to departmental protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI (required)
- ARRT RT(R) certification (required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ACLS within 6 months of hire)
- At least 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab managing fluoroscopy and scrubbing interventional cases (required)
- Preferred: 3+ years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab with monitor role experience
- Preferred certifications: RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
- Comfortable working with fixed fluoroscopy equipment, portable ultrasound, and IVUS
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
- BS Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiation safety best practices and monitoring
- Advanced procedural imaging and fluoroscopy operation
- Sterile technique and sterile field maintenance during interventional procedures
- Hemodynamic monitoring and assessment during procedures
- Procedural workflow coordination and interprofessional communication
- Patient assessment, positioning, and age-specific care considerations
- Ability to scrub interventional cases and assist physicians efficiently
