Shift Type: Rotating night schedule, typically 4 nights per week (varies by schedule) with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation, 10-hour shifts: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy and care
- Review clinical history and imaging orders, confirming labs and coordinating with radiologists when needed
- Position patients respectfully and safely to capture optimal diagnostic images
- Operate imaging equipment and image capture devices, ensuring image quality and proper identification
- Apply ALARA and radiation protection principles to minimize exposure for patients and staff
- Prepare contrast media and assist with administration during special exams
- Initiate basic life support when necessary and document patient safety events per protocol
- Use PACS and radiology information systems to submit images and documentation for physician review
- Provide practical instruction and mentorship to radiography students and new technologists
- Assist with scheduling coordination and adjustment of patient and staff schedules as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Radiography registration required
- IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required for Illinois practice
- BLS or CPR certification (must be approved within 90 days of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years of radiography experience
- Comfortable working night shifts, weekends per rotation, and participating in holiday coverage
- Demonstrated ability to operate PACS, EMR, C-arm and mobile radiography equipment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Skilled in portable radiography and C-arm operation in OR, ER, and bedside settings
- Proficient with PACS, radiology information systems, and electronic medical records
- Expertise in patient positioning and radiation safety/ALARA practices
- Ability to prepare and assist with contrast media
- Competent in image quality control, documentation, and physician communication
- Experience mentoring students and training new technologists
- Good clinical judgment, patient communication, and teamwork skills
