Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment expertly to support diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and sterile field integrity throughout procedures
• Monitor hemodynamic status and assist with patient physiologic monitoring during interventions
• Scrub and assist for interventional cases, ensuring smooth procedural flow and readiness
• Implement radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff
• Coordinate procedural workflow with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care and recognize conditions that impact procedures
• Document procedures and equipment checks accurately and follow departmental protocols

Qualifications

• Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI (required)
• ARRT certification, RT(R) required
• Current BLS and ACLS (or ability to obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire)
• At least 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab managing fluoroscopy and scrubbing interventional cases (required)
• Preferred: 3+ years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab, experience in monitor role
• Preferred certifications: RCIS and NIH Stroke Scale
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
• BS Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy operation and procedural imaging expertise
• Sterile technique and sterile field maintenance
• Radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Hemodynamic monitoring and recognition of patient changes
• Experience scrubbing interventional cases and working in the cath lab
• Familiarity with portable ultrasound and IVUS
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Comfort with equipment checks, troubleshooting, and maintaining procedural workflow
