Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, monitoring, assessing, and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment, and coordinate complex care plans
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR and ensure seamless handoffs during shift change and on-call coverage
• Take assigned 24-hour call shifts and respond promptly and professionally when needed
• Float to Med-Surg when required and deliver safe, compassionate care across units

Qualifications

• Current ICU RN with recent critical care experience (ICU certification or demonstrated ICU practice required)
• Active RN license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure in Arizona
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg as needed
• Comfort with taking scheduled 24-hour on-call shifts
• Meditech 6.0 experience preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment skills and familiarity with advanced monitoring
• Experience with ventilator management, titration of vasoactive drips, and post-op ICU care
• Proficient documentation skills and basic EMR navigation (Meditech 6.0 preferred)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-family education abilities
• Ability to prioritize in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
