Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate pre- and post-procedural nursing care for patients in the Angio Holding unit
• Assess and monitor patient status continuously, responding promptly to changes
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiology, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and the cath lab team to ensure safe, efficient care
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in EPIC for all patient interactions and procedural records
• Maintain sterile technique and safety standards in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, discharge instructions, and follow-up plans

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii licensure or compact licensure preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pre/post procedural area (Angio/Cath Lab experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Comfortable using EPIC for documentation and charting
• Experience caring for patients in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, or interventional radiology settings
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Pre/post procedural patient care and recovery monitoring
• Familiarity with cath lab/angio workflows and equipment
• Understanding of diagnostic and interventional cardiology and vascular procedures
• Proficient in patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-procedure complication recognition
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and sterile technique
• Documentation proficiency in EPIC and accurate clinical charting
• Ability to prioritize in a busy procedural unit and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
