Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment while following radiation safety protocols
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care
• Accurately document procedures, maintain patient records, and manage image transfer to PACS
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication during imaging procedures
• Follow department policies and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience (as indicated in the posting)
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• State radiologic technologist license (Kansas licensure required if working in-state) or ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program; relevant state licensure or ARRT certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with digital radiography systems and PACS
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Patient positioning and anatomy knowledge for quality imaging
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Good documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
