Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to image quality and patient safety
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment while following radiation safety protocols
- Position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care
- Accurately document procedures, maintain patient records, and manage image transfer to PACS
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication during imaging procedures
- Follow department policies and participate in quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience (as indicated in the posting)
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- State radiologic technologist license (Kansas licensure required if working in-state) or ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong patient care skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program; relevant state licensure or ARRT certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with digital radiography systems and PACS
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Patient positioning and anatomy knowledge for quality imaging
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Good documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
