Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, interpreting data and prioritizing care
- Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Respond quickly to emergencies and lead bedside interventions when needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
- Participate in unit-specific competency testing and maintain required certifications
- Support and mentor colleagues while contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Valid RN licensure with license/certificate verification required
- ICU experience and comfort managing critically ill patients
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed for this role
- Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing, drug screen, fit test, and required immunizations/vaccines
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management fundamentals and weaning considerations
- Advanced cardiac life support and EKG rhythm recognition
- Trauma and stroke assessment knowledge (TNCC, NIHSS)
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay calm under pressure
