Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, interpreting data and prioritizing care
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Respond quickly to emergencies and lead bedside interventions when needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
• Participate in unit-specific competency testing and maintain required certifications
• Support and mentor colleagues while contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure with license/certificate verification required
• ICU experience and comfort managing critically ill patients
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed for this role
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing, drug screen, fit test, and required immunizations/vaccines
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ventilator management fundamentals and weaning considerations
• Advanced cardiac life support and EKG rhythm recognition
• Trauma and stroke assessment knowledge (TNCC, NIHSS)
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay calm under pressure
