Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and personalized needs to create meaningful treatment plans
• Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve independence with daily activities
• Provide skilled, patient-centered care while documenting progress clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve patient goals
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home safety, and energy conservation
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, licensure verification, and required health screenings

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license/certification appropriate for practice (state requirements apply)
• BLS certification required
• License/Certificate Verification required prior to assignment
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing/questionnaire, drug screen, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, fit test, VHC color vision as applicable)
• Comfortable working in per diem / travel assignments with a flexible schedule
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and the care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of occupational therapy evaluation and intervention techniques
• Skilled in ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and functional mobility strategies
• Competent documentation practices and familiar with electronic medical record workflows
• Ability to work independently on short-term assignments and integrate quickly with new teams
• Patient-centered approach with strong teaching and coaching skills for patients and families
