Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care
• Coordinate and oversee EKG testing and ensure adherence to VHC EKG Exam expectations
• Verify licenses and certifications and maintain compliance with facility requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow and safety
• Perform clinical assessments, delegate tasks, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Ensure staff complete required health screenings and immunizations in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials (ability to complete license verification)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Successful completion of the VHC EKG Exam (or willingness to complete it)
• Meet facility health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, TB, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella, drug screen, fit test)
• Experience supervising or leading clinical teams preferred
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EKG procedures and familiarity with EKG testing workflows
• Clinical supervision and team leadership
• Patient assessment, documentation, and escalation protocols
• Infection control practices and immunization compliance
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment
