Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide focused, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across acuity levels
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs quickly and accurately
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform critical interventions following protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely care
• Float between units as needed to support changing census and patient needs
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in the electronic health record with attention to detail
• Complete required compliance items and Prime testing within the specified timeframe
• Support a patient-centered environment by communicating clearly and compassionately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license validated via Nursys
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in requirements
• Ability and willingness to float between units and to work weekends
• Per diem availability for a 26-week assignment beginning 01/17/2026 through 07/17/2026
• Completion of Prime exams and skills checklist as part of pre-start compliance
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per employer requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing knowledge including triage and critical assessment
• Rhythm interpretation and familiarity with acute cardiac care
• Medication administration and pharmacology knowledge
• Proficiency with bedside skills and acute interventions
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
• Accurate electronic health record documentation and time management
• Adaptability to float between units and take on varied clinical responsibilities
