Shift Type: 4x10 shifts (10-hour days, times vary), rotating/day-focused schedule; on-call one night per week and one weekend per month with a 20-minute call response; flexible (no block schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for elective and critical surgical procedures
- Set up, pass, and care for surgical instruments and equipment during cases
- Anticipate surgeon needs and proactively support efficient, safe surgery flow
- Participate in specialty cases across ortho, general, endo-vascular, urgent, and OB procedures
- Respond promptly and professionally to on-call situations and emergent cases
- Collaborate with perioperative team members to uphold high standards of patient care and safety
- Document case specifics and instrument counts accurately to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) — 2+ years of CST experience required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience in Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgent (Urgo), or OB procedures is preferred
- Comfort working in a fast-paced OR environment and responding to on-call needs
- Willingness to provide physical copies of certifications if requested in profile
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge
- Familiarity with a broad mix of surgical specialties (Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, OB)
- Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff
- Quick decision-making and calm performance under pressure during critical cases
- Good documentation practices and attention to counts and safety protocols
