Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients during overnight hours
• Administer medications, treatments, and document care accurately and promptly
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the clinical team to ensure safety
• Collaborate with nurses, CNA staff, and interdisciplinary team to execute individualized care plans
• Support comfort, dignity, and quality of life through respectful patient interactions
• Maintain accurate charts and electronic records, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information clearly

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligible to obtain one
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-centered mindset
• Ability to handle overnight clinical responsibilities and maintain clear documentation

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic IV/infusion familiarity where applicable
• Wound care basics and infection control practices
• Electronic health record charting and documentation
• Vital signs monitoring, assessment, and reporting
• Time management and prioritization during overnight shifts
• Compassionate resident engagement and de-escalation techniques
