Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively to produce diagnostic images
- Perform X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures with attention to patient comfort and radiation safety
- Verify patient identity, review orders, and load demographic and badge-appropriate photo information into the profile
- Collaborate with radiologists and the clinical team to ensure high-quality imaging and timely results
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and infection control practices
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, especially those who are anxious or have special needs
- Participate in holiday and scheduled coverage as part of the clinical team
Qualifications
- Graduated from a JRCERT-approved radiography program (required)
- Registered by the ARRT (ARRT certification required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Experience operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Prior experience in a large hospital setting preferred
- Ability to provide badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic profile during onboarding
- Willingness to work holiday shifts as part of clinical coverage
Education
- Graduated from a JRCERT-approved radiography/radiology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy and X-ray equipment operation
- Familiarity with radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
- Comfortable entering and maintaining patient demographic and imaging records
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to follow hospital protocols and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
